Global ViP Academy School insists that all students take pride in their school, actively demonstrating commitment to our ethos.When parents enroll a student at Mehi Lal Association inter College’ they undertake to see that their son abides by all the school rules as set down by the Board of Trustees. These are intended to promote students’ welfare and to assist in the smooth running of the school.School discipline applies to all students of the school from the time of leaving home in the morning until they have returned home in the afternoon. This includes school-authorised events.
A comprehensive list of school rules is provided in the student diary issued to every student at the beginning of the year or during late enrolments throughout the year as well as on the school website. Students are expected to read and comply with all school rules and our parental community is expected to support us in this.
The following are drawn to the attention of parents as areas where co-operation is particularly sought:
Students are expected to act in an orderly, courteous manner and show consideration towards other people.
Students are to be dressed in school uniform as set out in the prospectus.
Boys are to be clean-shaven. A student’s hair must be kept clean and tidy at all times. The length of the hair should not be shorter than a “number 2” razor cut. Hair should not be touching the shirt collar and should be off the face. The fringe when straightened /combed down must not hang in the eyes. The style of the hair should not be extreme including but not limited to mohawk, afro, shaved styles and/or patterns, hair tied up and braided. The colour must be the student’s own natural colour; no dye nor highlights are allowed.
The possession or use of cigarettes, tobacco, alcohol, marijuana and other illegal substances or material as
per school policy is strictly prohibited.
The school has a zero tolerance to use and/or possession of the above substances.
The students should arrive at the school only around five minutes before the call-bell is rung.
Clean and proper School uniform is to be worn on all the school days. A student who is slovenly dressed may be sent home.
The students must carry with them their School Almanac while entering the Class, Laboratory, Library or attending the morning Assembly. The school Almanac must be carried to the Yoga classes and other special assemblies too.
Any photograph to be attested by the authority of the school must be snapped in school uniform only.
At the stroke of the first bell, all the students should assemble in their respective class-rooms for attendance after which they should line out for prayer. After the prayer they must return to their respective classes quietly in line.
All the students should be keen in keeping their classrooms and the school premises clean and tidy.
The students are not allowed to bring any kind of valuables like cell phones, electronic gadgets, cameras, transistors, precious coins, stones or any item of jewellery like chain, rings, etc, to the school. The School will not be responsible for loss of any such article if brought by the students.
The students are expected to be disciplined in their general behaviors.
Irregular attendance, habitual late-arrival, idleness, negligence of home work, disobedience and disrespect or any other reprehensible behavior towards teachers and others may entail dismissal from the school. Students are accountable to the School authorities for their conduct both inside and outside the school.
Every student must take part in all the curricular and co-curricular activities unless declared unfit or exempted by the Organizers.
Parents and students are advised to park their vehicles only in the parking space at their own risk.
Students are neither allowed to use the school telephone without permission nor they be called to answer phone calls during class hours.
Extra books, newspapers or periodicals must not be brought to the school without prior permission of the school authorities.
No collection for any purpose, whatsoever, shall be made in the School without the prior permission of the Principal. Money should not be lent nor borrowed, nor articles be exchanged by the students among themselves.
The Institution does not hold responsibility for accidents and loss of items or valuables etc. although proper care is taken to prevent such occurrences.
All the students must extend co-operation in taking care of all the property of the School. The students should not scratch or spoil the desks, benches, chairs nor damage any school furniture nor write or draw any thing on the walls nor damage the belongings of others. Damage done even by accident should be reported at once to the Class Teacher. Recovery against any such damage must be done up by the concerned student (s) together with a fine imposed on him/her /them for such a misdeed. Such misdeeds may entail expulsion from the school.
Students are advised to avoid buying unhygienic eatables.
Students should wait at their respective bus stop in an orderly fashion and board the bus in a disciplined manner. They should not board or alight from moving buses.
The School reserves the right to dismiss such students whose diligence of progress is studies is constantly unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to the school environment or whose guardians show little interest in the progress of their wards. Immorality, grave insubordination, contempt of authority or willful damages to school property is always sufficient reason for immediate dismissal.
Students should behave in a gentle manner wherever they go. They should remember that the school is judged by their conduct. They should greet their seniors, teachers and elders whenever and wherever they meet them.
Firing crackers or splashing colors in school premises is strictly prohibited. Non- compliance to these instructions may result in expulsion from the school.
No child is permitted to leave the school premises without the permission of the Principal. Such permission will be granted only on the specific request of the parents in writing.
Every student must cover his / her note-books /text books properly in prescribed covers only, and label them positively.
Any girl student who wishes to apply mehendi/Henna can do so only within the palm, but not on fingers, nails, etc.
UNAUTHORISED PHOTOGRAPHY IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE SCHOOL.
Cellphones distract from teaching and learning and are not permitted at Global ViP Academy school. I-pods and MP3 players are not permitted either.
The following are not to be brought on to the campus Global ViP Academy school grounds:
Alcohol or drugs in any form
Chemicals
Cigarettes or tobacco
Knives or other weapons, including BB guns
Matches/lighters/explosive or dangerous material
Pornographic or any other offensive material
Cameras
Skateboards or scooters or similar
Expensive bicycles or bicycle accessories or other costly equipment
Mobile Phones
Mobile phones will be permitted in school.
Students will be able to use them on the way to and from school.
Students will be able to use them in class as learning devices with the express permission of the teacher. Such permission must be sought and received before their use.
Students will not be permitted to use mobile phones in the school grounds, or during Form Period.
If a student uses a mobile phone inappropriately, or in contravention of the Global ViP Academy school’s policy, he will be sanctioned accordingly. Mobile phones will not be confiscated except in circumstances where a member of staff considers the device to be a harmful or disruptive influence.
Devices (Laptops / Notebooks / Tablets)
Devices will be permitted in school.
Students will be able to use them in class as learning devices with the express permission of the teacher.
Students will not be permitted to use devices in the school grounds during Interval and Lunch.
If a student uses a device inappropriately, or in contravention of the school’s policy, he will be sanctioned accordingly. Devices will not be confiscated except in circumstances where a member of staff considers the device to be a harmful or disruptive influence.
The security and protection, within reason, of the device will be the responsibility of the student.
